Wild Bohrs seek new players

Our Physics department softball team, the Wild Bohrs, seeks new players for the fall season. Though the Bohrs didn’t manage to win any games this summer, a keen observer of the sport might say that they had a winning attitude. Isn’t that what counts? Anyone interested in joining the team should email the coaches!

Physics Softball Team on WILL

WILL aired a short story this morning on the physics softball team The Wild Bohrs, a rag-tag bunch of scrappy underdogs that have never won a game but lose with a smile. Listen to it here!

Softball on 7/29 at 6:15pm on Dodds Park Field 2

The Wild Bohrs will play against Pia's/Melody Music. The Bohrs will meet at 5:45; fans can arrive at 6:15 to cheer them on! It should be really hot, so please drink plenty of water throughout the day and bring some to the game.

There is enough interest for softball in the fall; games will fall on Wednesday nights, so mark your calendars! Keep an eye out for details about the end-of-the-season party sometime in August.

Wild Bohrs play Tumble Inn

6/24/15
6:15 to 7:30 at Dodds Park
This week we play Tumble Inn. Still a decent chance of rain so the game might be cancelled, but as of right now, we're all set to show them what we're made of. Field 3, too, so I don't even think the sun will be in our eyes! Feel free to join us at Blind Pig for Mug Night after the game.

Wild Bohrs play Aruna Project; casual ultimate frisbee

6/17/15
6:15 to 7:30 at Dodds Park
Tomorrow we face Aruna Project (unless we get rained out, of course, and I'll try to update on cancellations). And, for your information, the Bohrs have recently achieved NO MERCY RULE!!! In our game, like, 1 or 2 weeks ago (I wasn't there, so I'm not entirely sure). So basically this is the best time to jump on board as a cheer squad for a team that sees ALL 7 INNINGS!!!!!

In other news.... if you like to play frisbee, but are too scared to join a team, there's a group of PGSA Students who meet on the South Quad (by the bell tower) Mondays at 5:30 and Thursdays at 6:30 to play, like, pick-up ultimate. Come join us! I need someone worse than me to play, too!

Softball game 5/27; various local events

I'm baacckk!! And soon to leave again for, like, 2 weeks, so someone else with less spunk and personality will have to be updating this blog :P

Tonight
6:15 to 7:30 at Dodds Park
Defending our honor against the Champaign Electricians Local 601! Possibility of being rained out, but if not, we'll be there to show them who's boss in both softball and your basic E&M.
