Archaeological Student Society Mixer Event This Wednesday

Hi everyone,

Below is a message from Brian Wolin, advertising an event hosted by the Archaeological Student Society. He thought there would be interest among the physics students. Please respond to him with any questions.

Hey,

The Curse of King Tut: A 1920s Themed Drag Ball
The Curse of King Tut has haunted the public since the fateful day in 1923 when archaeologist Howard Carter unearthed the boy king’s tomb. Now, the Archaeological Student Society brings you an evening inspired by this monumental event and by the decadence of the 1920s, complete with karaoke, raffles, drag show, a costume contest, and dancing.

This is your chance to get out of Loomis/MRL/ESB for some midweek fun and frolicking!  Celebrate the approaching end of the semester and blessed absence of undergrads, blow off some midweek steam, or just come to have a great time with your fellows.

When: Wednesday April 24: 7pm-2am
Where: Emerald City Lounge in Champaign
Updated information can be found on facebook.

Presale tickets can be obtained from Brian Wolin in the physics department or by contacting a.s.s.illinois@gmail.com
$7 at the door
$5 - presale

Sincerely,

Brian

Happy Hour Tomorrow

Hi everyone,

I hope you enjoyed Spring Break, whether you stayed here and took advantage of the empty campus, traveled, or were at March Meeting. This week the PGSA will be hosting another one of our always exciting Happy Hours.

In an attempt to achieve bar ergodicity, we will be going to Bunny's Tavern, "The Best Kept Secret of Urbana". This bar opened in 1936 and has been serving locals and students since then. It is located at 119 W. Water Street (Just a block north of Downtown Urbana, near Black Dog BBQ). Look for the neon Bunny's sign!

Meet us there at 7:30pm tomorrow (Friday the 5th) for drinks, good times, and fun conversations!

See you then,

Zack & the PGSA
