Happy Hour - Festival Edition

Hi Everyone,

Join the PGSA for another installment in our happy hour series. In order to promote the local festivals, this week we have decided to hold the happy hour at the Blues, Brews, & BBQ Festival. I went to this festival last summer and had a great time. It is one of my favorites of the summer. Who doesn't love good food, good music, and beer! The PGSA will be arriving at the festival at 6:30pm on Friday(6/29). The festival is taking place in the Champaign city parking lot behind the News-Gazette building; between Walnut and Fremont just north of Main (aka Honorary REO Speedwagon Way). We will try and camp out around the Miller Beer & WGKC Main Stage which will be to the south of the lot. Look around for us, it may be a little tougher than usual to find us at the festival. 

So come join us at the festival to wind down another summer week.

The PGSA is bringing you another cheap lunch! Drop by the Interaction Room on Friday (June 22) from 12-1pm and get 2 slices of pizza and a drink for only $1!

Happy Hour Tomorrow! New Time!

Join the PGSA at the Blind Pig Brewery (aka the Piglet) in Champaign on Friday 6/15 at 7:30pm for another installment of our biweekly happy hour. Note the new time, allowing time for people to eat dinner, as the piglet doesn't serve food. So take a break from work, come have a beer, celebrate payday, and enjoy the company of fellow physicists! 

Ice Cream Social Tomorrow!

Come and get a break from the summer heat and work by enjoying some ice cream with fellow physics grad students. The PGSA will be hosting an Ice Cream Social tomorrow (6/8) from 1:30pm - 2:30pm in the interaction room. As always the PGSA will provide the ice cream as well as some of the favorite toppings.
