Day Trip to Kickapoo

Need a break from work before the semester begins? Want to meet some of the incoming physics grad students? Do you enjoy hiking, picnicing, playing spots, or canoeing? Then join the PGSA in a day trip to Kickapoo State Park to welcome the new grads to the department.

On August 18th the PGSA will host a day trip out to Kickapoo State Park. This park is about 25 miles east of Champaign on I-74. For more information on the park visit their website here: http://dnr.state.il.us/lands/landmgt/parks/r3/kickapoo.htm
The PGSA has reserved the Cypress Picnic Area for the day.

We will leave the campus area at 11am and return to campus at around 7pm. While at the park the PGSA will have a picnic for lunch. Then the afternoon activities are up to you! Want to play sports? Then bring the equipment and play! Like to hike? There are plenty of trails in the park to hike on. Want to canoe or tube in the rivers/lakes? Rent a canoe/tube (partly discounted by PGSA) and have at it!

We need you to RSVP to me for this trip by next Wednesday (August 15th). EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO COME MUST RSVP so that we can plan out rides to the park! In your RSVP please include the information listed below.
